National Cadet Corps
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a uniformed group in Singapore, co-supported by the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and the Ministry of Education (MOE). It grooms youths into disciplined, patriotic citizens through adventurous training, military-related activities, and leadership development.

The CCA provides a holistic education for our cadets and serves as a platform for character building. Cadets will learn basic military skills training, such as foot and arms drill, physical training, and individual field craft, and have the opportunities to attend leadership courses.
Cadets who have completed their course of service will be more prepared for enlistment into National Service.
Through the school weekly training and programmes offered, the cadets can hone their leadership qualities, build rapport, and trust and strengthen the camaraderie.
Unit Structure
Every NCC Unit has four platoons: junior cadet, senior cadet, cadet leader and senior cadet leader.
Junior Cadet:
Every cadet that joins NCC is placed in the Junior Cadet platoon. They will not have rank when first joining. They will only attain the rank of Lance Corporal after completing the Junior Cadet Proficiency Test and attending Camp Forge.
Senior Cadet:
When a cadet reaches Secondary 2, he will be assigned to the Senior Cadet platoon. By being a Senior Cadet, he will be given some responsibilities in coaching the Junior Cadet during the CCA session. The Senior Cadets are to attain the rank of Corporal after completing the Senior Cadet Proficiency Test and attending Camp Steel.
Cadet Leaders:
A secondary 3 cadet will be joining the Cadet Leader platoon and may attain the rank of Third Sergeant by completing the Specialist Assessment. Those who have leadership potential will be selected to attend the Senior Specialist Leadership Course. They will further enhance the instructional abilities of the cadet leaders, through skills and knowledge-based activities. Upon passing out from the Senior Specialist Leadership Course, the cadet leaders will be promoted to the rank of First Sergeant. Among the cadet leaders who achieved the rank of First Sergeant, two cadet leaders will be holding the appointment of Unit Sergeant Major (USM) and Assistant Sergeant Major (ASM) in the school's NCC unit.
Senior Cadet Leaders:
At the final year of their secondary school education, the cadet leaders will be known as Senior Cadet Leaders in the unit. With the highest seniority in the unit, they are expected to mentor the cadet leaders and to be a good role model to the junior and senior cadets. Those senior cadet leaders who want to carry on serving the corps can apply to be Cadet Officer after they graduated from their secondary school education.
